The theme “Rescues” was a collective invitation to remember, restore, and reinvent paths in harmony with the forest and the essential. In a territory marked by ancestry, biodiversity, and spiritual strength, rescuing is urgent: rescuing ancestral knowledge, restoring the relationship between communities and nature, and reaffirming that the forest is a protagonist in the planet’s balance. Rescuing is not nostalgia—it is bringing back what should never have been lost.
In 2025, TEDxAmazônia established itself as a space for transformative ideas and symbolic healing, where tradition and innovation meet to imagine regenerative futures. This edition brought together voices from across the Pan-Amazon and other tropical territories, amplifying the global debate. There were 791 in-person participants, 1.6 million people reached online, and coverage by major media outlets. The event also integrated preparatory debates for COP30, bringing these discussions to Belém and strengthening the dialogue on climate justice.
