TEDxAmazônia
The Amazon is a territory that regulates the climate, sustains millennia-old ways of life, drives scientific discoveries, and calls into question economic models that no longer meet the demands of our time. It is a space where nature, culture, and knowledge move forward together—and where the debate about the future ceases to be abstract.
TEDxAmazônia is born from the commitment to listen to this territory in depth. We are the only TEDx dedicated to a biome because we understand that the Amazon is a starting point. The conversations that emerge from here cross borders, connect forms of knowledge, and bring what is local closer to what is global.
We build each edition together with those who live the region in all its complexity—researchers, Indigenous leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, riverside communities, and young people from Amazonian urban peripheries. These are voices that think about development, innovation, and climate justice from lived experience.
We seek voices that work at the intersections—science, indigenous knowledge, economics, art. People willing to confront essential questions: is it possible to thrive while maintaining the balances that sustain us? Can we act with the necessary urgency?
We believe that the great challenges of our time require qualified listening and shared responsibility. Strengthening the many Amazons also strengthens the possibilities for the future.
Each edition of TEDxAmazônia is a space to broaden perspectives, deepen dialogue, and turn reflection into consistent action. This is how ideas take root—and become a movement.
