With the concept of “Collective Ancestry,” TEDxAmazônia 2024 highlighted stories of resilience, impact projects, and regenerative initiatives, reinforcing that solutions for the Amazon are born within the territory itself—through communities and the connection between the local and the global. More than an event held at the Vasco Vasques Convention Center in Manaus, the edition was an immersive experience connecting people, ideas, and cultures, marked by creativity, deep reflection, and meaningful collaboration.
The theme underscored the interdependence between ancestry and the natural elements—earth, fire, water, and air—and the need for balance among them. The visual identity was created by Moara Tupinambá, an Indigenous artist and independent curator. The edition brought together representatives from the nine states of the Brazilian Amazon, Indigenous peoples, and urban populations, reflecting the region’s diversity. There were 489 in-person participants, 32 speakers, 50 volunteers, 20 partners, and more than 767,000 total views.
