Helder Zahluth Barbalho is a native of Belém, with a degree in Business Administration from the University of the Amazon and a postgraduate degree in Public Management from the Getulio Vargas Foundation. He is currently governor of Pará and, for the third consecutive term, chairs the Interstate Consortium for the Sustainable Development of the Legal Amazon. Previously, he was Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Chief Minister of the National Ports Secretariat, Minister of National Integration, as well as Mayor of Ananindeua, State Representative and City Councillor. In 2025, he will host COP30 in Belém.
