Claudelice lost her brother, Zé Claudio Ribeiro, and her sister-in-law, Maria do Espírito Santo, to the greed of those who wanted to cut down the magnificent Brazil nut trees they were protecting. Thirteen years after her brother took to the stage at TEDxAmazônia and denounced the death threats he had been receiving – which were unfortunately carried out – she returns to Manaus to tell us about her plan to protect the lives of forest defenders, who are, after all, defenders of the whole world.
