Gregorio Mirabal is an indigenous leader of the Kurripaco people, born in the Guarinuma community, Amazonas State, Venezuela. He specializes in Education Planning and Evaluation and is a professor of Social Sciences. Recognized among the 100 Latin Americans most committed to climate action (2022), he serves as COICA’s Climate and Biodiversity coordinator and spokesperson for the Amazonia por la Vida 80×25 initiative. He was general coordinator of COICA and ORPIA, and is a member of the Strategic Committee of the Scientific Panel for the Amazon, bringing together peoples and knowledge in defense of the forest.
